This means players will face a little over one hour away from their games, not factoring in the time it takes to download the update and any queues that could appear when players try to log in. Third-party apps such as DIM are scheduled to be reinstated at that time as well, according to the official page. They will stay disabled until the season launches at 12pm CT. Specifically for Season of the Haunted, Destiny 2 servers will go offline at 10:45am CT, one hour and 15 minutes before the patch deploys. Commonly, maintenance takes place 15 minutes before a new patch hits, though that interval is significantly bigger with major releases. The patch cycle continues to be at 5pm UTC, however, so fans can expect changes to their schedule with daylight savings.
Though some titles have maintenance on off-peak hours, Destiny 2 updates roll out at 5pm UTC (12pm CT when factoring in Daylight Saving Time). From bug fixes to introducing new content, developers often need to take down their game in order to improve the overall gaming experience in the long run.
